Crab Feast 2023
The Potomac Chapter of AFS invites you to our Annual Crab Feast on Saturday, October 14 from 2-5 p.m. The Crab Feast is a great way to mix and mingle with fisheries professionals from across the region, including students who wish to join our profession. There is a link to the event flyer at the end of this post and we encourage you to share with friends and family.
This year we will be heading to Lee Benaka’s house in Washington, DC. Thanks so much to Lee and his wife for hosting! The address is 3146 Patterson Street, NW, Washington, DC 20015.
As in the past, the AFS Potomac Chapter will procure the crabs. We ask that attendees RSVP to [email protected] with the total number of people you will be bringing. Please feel free to bring a side dish and or desert to share. The Chapter will also provide a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.
Cost – $45 per person; students $20 per person. Kids of course count as students, and no charge for the under 5 crowd as you’ll be picking for them anyways. Please bring cash or check to the event. You can pay AFS Potomac President Julie Simpson officers Cliff Hutt, Lisa Peterson, Jason Kahn, and Lee Benaka in advance if you work with them, or just bring the money with you on the 14th.
The AFS Potomac Chapter uses our funds to sponsor student travel awards to AFS annual meetings.
