Invitation to Crab Feast 2019
The Potomac Chapter of AFS, in conjunction with the National Capitol Chapter of the American Institute of Fishery Research Biologists invites you to our Annual Crab Feast on Saturday, October 19 from 2-5 p.m. The Crab Feast is a great way to mix and mingle with fisheries professionals from across the region, including students who wish to join our profession.
This year we will be returning to AFS HQ in Bethesda! We will be meeting at the Forester Building which is 101000 Lureate Way, Bethesda, MD. The Grosvenor Metro stop is also under a mile away.
As in the past, the AFS Potomac Chapter will procure the crabs. We ask that attendees

with the total number of people you will be bringing. Please fill free to bring a side dish and or desert to share. The Chapter will also provide a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.
Cost – AFS and AFIRB members(guests) – $40 per person; students $20 per person. Kids of course count as students, and no charge for the under 5 crowd as you’ll be picking for them anyways Please bring cash to the event. You can pay AFS Potomac President Julie Simpson or Treasurer Rosa Gonzalez in advance if you work with them, or just bring the money with you on the 19th.
The AFS Potomac Chapter uses our funds to sponsor student travel awards to AFS annual meetings.
